Why We Actually Care About This Stuff

Look, we've been at this for years now, and honestly? The whole 'sustainable' label got tired real fast. Every firm slaps a green roof on something and calls it eco-friendly. That's not what we're doing here.

For us, it started when one of our early commercial projects ended up costing the client way too much in energy bills. That stung. We realized we weren't just designing spaces - we were designing operational nightmares or dreams. Since then, every beam, every window, every material choice gets the sustainability treatment.

It's become less about checking boxes for LEED points and more about asking "will this building still make sense in 50 years?" Most won't, but ours will.

We orient buildings to capture natural heat and light without fancy tech. South-facing windows in winter, strategic overhangs in summer. It's architecture 101 but you'd be surprised how many skip this step. Cuts HVAC loads by like 40% right off the bat.

Material Intelligence
